One Last Renovation

Butler Township, Montgomery County, Ohio

The Owner's had lived in their present home, a one-story ranch with a basement, for many years. They had previously added a master suite and renovated their basement. They decided to renovate the house one last time. They wanted to expand the family room and create a new front entrance, thus modifying the front elevation. They also wanted to expand  the garage to accommodate a new workshop. This afforded the existing laundry to be moved from the basement to the first floor of the house. A home office was provided. The renovation is based on the “Not So Big House” theory of architect Sarah Susanka.

Patrick Hansford Associates provided schematic design services only. Final drawings were provided by the builder.
